Biography
Graduated in Pharmacy and Biochemistry at the Federal University of Paraná (1992) and did a master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Federal University of Paraná (2001). Conclude its PhD in Health Sciences at PUCPR in 2015. He is currently associate professor of the Pontifical Catholic University of Parana, where he coordinates since 1997 the Specialization Course in Microbiology and from 2009 to 2010 coordinated the Specialization Course in Clinical Analysis. Since 2012 also operates in PUC Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation. He is a pharmacist at the Molecular Bacteriology Sector of LACEN-PR, consultant at a large reference clinical lab. DB (Diagnóstico do Brasil) Division of Microbiology. He is formerly Director of the Central Laboratory of the State of Paraná, 2003-2010; past President of the Brazilian Society of Clinical Analysis- Paraná, for 4 years (2004-2008). Coordinated the Specialization in Clinical Laboratory Management. It has expertise in bacteriology and Specialist in Clinical Analysis and participates as a reviewer of the journals: Brazilian Journal of Infectious Diseases, Brazilian Journal of Microbiology and Journal of Clinical Microbiology. He has experience in the following subjects: Clinical Analysis and Management Laboratory, focusing on Clinical Microbiology and Public Health, acting on the following topics: laboratory and microbiological diagnosis; bacterial resistance, molecular epidemiology and nosocomial infections; non-fermentative bacteria; advanced bacterial identification (genome sequencing); clinical laboratory management and innovation and research in health technologies. Member of BrCAST (Brazilian Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Test) and Board of Microbial Resistance in Technical Health Services - (CATREM) ANVISA.
